Family Attractions in Broadstairs

 

  • The school holidays are fast approaching, but even if it is not beach weather, here are 5 fun things to do with the family on holiday in Broadstairs this half-term.



  • 1. Lillyputt Mini Golf
  • Just a few hundred metres from our apartment is the wonderful Lillyputt Mini Golf. 
  • A staple of Broadstairs - it's been here for over 100 years - the heritage mini golf course is based on Arnold Palmer's original designs. 
  • The Garden Tea Room, serving hot and cold food, as well as ice creams, is a must visit, even if you don't fancy the golf. 
  • Open Weekends and School holidays from 10am (weather permitting).

  • 2. The Escapement
  • This award-winning, immersive escape room venue takes you on an exciting journey through intricately designed adventure puzzle quests, just like Crystal Maze. 
  • The Escapement has been voted the UK’s Best Escape experience and has over 2,500 reviews on Tripadvisor.
  • Weekends 10am - 4pm. Pre-booking required. 

  • 3. Revolution Skatepark and Climbing Centre 

    •  Firmly established as one of the UK's premier extreme leisure centres, it offers 3 huge                warehouses for skating, crammed full of all types of ramps for beginners and expert riders     alike. Users can Skateboard, Scooter, Inline Skate and BMX, all in the safety of the state-    of-the-art, immaculately maintained, indoor environment.

        Alongside the Skatepark is a further warehouse, which houses the Climbing Centre, and is         packed with a diverse range of colourful walls, suitable for all levels of climber.

    • Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 10am-10pm and Weekends 10am-8pm. School Holidays Monday and Thursday 10am-4pm. Pre-booking required.  

    • 4. Clip 'n Climb

    • From Toddlers to School Groups, Kids to Adults, Special Needs and Corporate Groups - Clip'n Climb Thanet has healthy and fun activities for all.

      Located at the Westwood Retail Park in Broadstairs, Thanet - a 10min drive or bus ride from our apartment -  the climbing arena features over 15 colourful and unique climbing challenges designed to appeal to all age groups and abilities.


    • Term Time Open 9.45am-8pm and School Holidays Open 8.45am-6.30pm

    • 5. Elev8
    • Elev8 is an immersive Family Multi activity centre and indoor playground featuring a huge Inflatable Bounce Park, Mega Ball Pit, Interactive Games & Soft Play Area based in Broadstairs, Kent.

      Perfect for kids and adults alike Elev8 can be enjoyed by just about anyone, of any age.

Broadstairs is heaven for foodies. Here are just a few of our favourite restaurants to check out in town - let us know yours! Best for Fish The Tartar Frigate Set in an historic building overlooking the harbour, The Tartar Frigate is a traditional pub and, in our opinion, one of the best fish restaurants in Kent. Kick back with alfresco drinks by the harbour or enjoy a meal in the restaurant with stunning views of Viking Bay. Best for Pizza Posillipo Our family's favourite place for Pizza in Broadstairs. With a cosy restaurant and a garden area that overlooks Viking Bay it's a great place to enjoy a meal or pick up a take-away pizza to enjoy in the beach. Best for Fine Dining Stark The only Michelin-starred restaurant in Thanet, Stark is a modern and stylish restaurant, just stone's throw from our apartment.
